I will say this is the first book I have read by this author, and I am sort of disappointed. It had an amazing, but the ending was not as fulfilling as I thought it would be. It could have been more creative and had more action.
Zoe is the girl on the run. She is trying to get away from the person who did her wrong. After her gallery burned to the ground, she left town to go to her bestest friends house. Once there, she tries to deal with her mess on her own, she can live out a normal life. Upon running into Eli again, who just so happens to be sheriff, they dance around their feelings.
Eli is the guy who finds it hard to trust. He has a 7 year old daughter named Molly who is the only thing that can put him in a good mood. Besides Zoe. Most of the time, he goes around grumping to everybody. His baby mama has broke his heart after leaving him at the alter, and he is not ready to let anyone else in. Till Zoe.
