I loved the connection that Malia and Wave had. I enjoyed watching them grow apart only to be thrown back together by fate. I will say there was some points where I was slightly confused on Malia’s personality. One minute, she seems like this strong, independent woman who doesn’t need any man to tell her how to live her life. Another, she is having trouble being that woman. I understand there are multiple sides to woman, but it was slightly confusing. The book overall was great. I loved the beginning and getting to truly read the backstory. I loved the mental challenges they had to face there towards the end to get past the past and focus on the future.
